Bologna
On Sunday 11 November, on the occasion of the Feast of San Martino, the Consorzio della Chiusa di Casalecchio and the Reno Canal opened the gates of the Scaletta Paraport (via Scaletta 1, Casalecchio di Reno). The Paraporto Scaletta, better known as the Casa dei Ghiacci, is a hydraulic site of great importance to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the Reno Canal, which is located not far from the monumental Chiusa di Casalecchio. It is a complex formed by three paraports (Scaletta, San Luca and Verocchio) joined by a suggestive walkway between the river Reno and the canal. Immersed in a natural setting suspended in time, you can enter a place normally not accessible to the public to discover its history. From 5:30pm to 7:30pm you can participate in the festivities of San Martino: in an intimate atmosphere between candles and reflections of the water you can savor the ancient flavors of the past, tasting the freshly made polenta of the Matti della Polenta, the roast chestnuts of the Consortium of Castanicoltori of the Bolognese Apennines and tasting a good glass of wine from the Podere Marmocchio. Everything will be accompanied by the warmth of the music of the Missing Joel group.
