Bologna
From 21st to 23rd September: Bologna hosts the 12th edition of the Race for the Cure, the biggest sports event to fight against breast cancer in Italy and around the world, scheduled to be held at the Giardini Margherita. Three days full of initiatives for the whole family dealing with health, prevention, solidarity and sport. Specialist visits to the "Health Village" area, meetings involving topics of proper nutrition and psychophysical well-being and events for children will liven up the event. And for a minimum donation of €12, you can participate in all these activities. The event, organized by Susan G. Komen Italia, ends on Sunday morning with the usual five-kilometre competitive race and the two-kilometre walk which is open to everyone visiting the city centre. Men, women and children may sign up for the Race for the Cure and the "Donne in Rosa" (Women in Pink) category, which is reserved for women who have had or currently have breast cancer. Great news of this edition, as part of the "Art for Prevention and Research" initiative, all members will have free access to the state-run museums of the Municipality of Bologna, by wearing their T-shirts, their bibs or proof of registration upon arriving at the entrance.
