The solo exhibition of Francesco Tricarico Quando la musica si mostra. Una nota al museo (When the music is on show. A note at the museum) aims at making visitors live a multisensory experience. A themed itinerary is leading them through some of the rooms of the Museo internazionale e biblioteca della musica (The International Museum and Library of Music), in order to create a dialogue between art - the paintings on show, and the music. Seven works have been selected, the same number as the music notes, and as the rooms of the art itinerary. Temporarily changing their usual numbering, the rooms turn into Stanza del Do (the C Room), Stanza del Re (the D Room), Stanza del Mi (the E Room), Stanza del Fa (the F Room), Stanza del Sol (the G Room), Stanza del La (the A Room), and Stanza del Si (the B Room). In this case, the sign – that is the relationship between signifier and meaning – is represented by the names of the rooms themselves and becomes a symbol as well: another reality going beyond, a reality which needs to be recreated. The expression of a collective unconscious from where the transformation processes between what's known and what's unknown arise. The exhibition is curated by Olivia Spatola, in collaboration with Galleria Fabbrica Eos in Milan. Further information and updates www.museibologna.it/musica
