Bologna
From January 29th to April 14th 2017 the Fondazione del Monte hosts the exhibition "Operabuffa. Arguzia e spirito nell’arte contemporanea" with the aim of entertaining and having fun. Moving sculptures, ironic and amusing photographs, playful and colorful paintings, balloons, curtains and yellow pompons are some of the works that the people will come across when they visit this exhibition. The sixteen artists selected with lightness and sense of humor are confronted with the theme of the funny, perfectly accepting the spirit proposed by the curators, Antonio Grulli and Maura Pozzati. The artists involved are Sergia Avveduti, Alighiero Boetti, Andrea Contin, Anna Galtarossa, Christian Jankowski, Jirí Kolár, Eva Marisaldi, Aldo Mondino, Katrin Plavcak, Concetto Pozzati, Andrea Renzini, Robin Rhode, Lorenzo Scotto di Luzio, Daniel Spoerri, Ben Vautier and Erwin Wurm. So, as the comic opera that in the eighteenth century was born with the intent to democratize the lyric addressing every type of public, even the collective exhibition proposed by the Fondazione del Monte offers to every viewer the possibility of a smile in a space where the playful, funny and amusing aspect expands from the colored walls, to the stickers on the floors as well as to the window overlooking the street.
