In 2016 "A Simple Lunch" publishes the recording work "Otto composizioni istantanee", with the cover notes of Giancarlo Schiaffini: "Listening to these eight tracks offers unexpected sensations and emotions. An organic with trumpet and percussion would suggest a music strongly characterized in its rhythmic and dynamic aspects. On the contrary, one finds oneself in front of siped and bound sounds in an intense and concentrated whole, in a mix of very contained dynamics. To abuse an oxymoron, we listen to a dense rarefaction of always different and expressive sounds, inserted in a context of continuous echoes and reciprocal references that denote a great coherence of intent. Rare melodic tears and rhythmic suggestions cohabit with citations of cagean silences, which maintain an expressive tension always present. The radical choice of such a sound landscape does not penalize the attention, indeed, it is a stimulus to follow the changing colors in the evolution of the musical discourse.
