The exhibition in the Alto Reno area on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of birth of the artist, is an invitation for visitors to take a walk with Gino Covili in the places of the Gothic Line, where he, in his early years, took part in the Resistence. The battles Covili fought in these mountains remain a decisive and unerasable mark of his experience as a man and as an artist.
The exhibition COVILI • visionario resistente is a large-scale multisituated exhibition in Alto Reno area. From May 19th to August 15 2018, in 4 exhibition sites in Castelluccio and in Porretta Terme, with 63 works on display and 3 permanent installations.
In Castelluccio, in the Castello Manservi, 39 works of “Racconto Partigiano” on display
In Porretta Terme, in the halls of Hotel Helvetia Thermal Spa, 12 masterpieces of his great freco of landscapes, animals and human beings and the painting “Matre Terra” dedicated to San Francesco.
In Porretta Terme, in the Studio Foto Ottica Marchi, 7 paintings “Gli Esclusi” and “Donne Perdute” , works that are part of cycles dedicated to “ultimi” .
In Porretta Terme, in the Banca di Credito Cooperativo dell’Alto Reno branch, 3 paintings and a sculpture, that represent the giants and heroes of his “Opera Mondo”.
In places of remembrance, Cà di Berna, Biagioni e Ronchidoso, 3 permanent intallations with images of the works “La borgata abbandonata” – “Fucilato” – “Cresce la Resistenza”.
