Active since the seventies, author in particular of productions related to dance on the brilliant choreography of Carolyn Carlson, Melnyk is the inventor of continuous music, or “an uninterrupted flow of notes that flow very fast, a magical flow connected to nature, a river full of ecstatic energy ".
Author of about thirty albums, Melnyk celebrates the seventieth birthday with his European tour, on the notes of his latest record-breaking work, Fallen Trees: even in Bologna the public will thus be able to hear his unpublished technique, capable of generating resonances and harmonic sounds of great suggestion. A technique that he himself has often compared to martial arts, where concentration and energy are translated into strongly evocative music.
