Your experience in brief
From the early days of Vasco Rossi to the records of Samuele Bersani, from the most famous albums of Luca Carboni to those of Lucio Dalla, the Fonoprint studios are the benchmark for the most original and creative Italian music.
With its large mixers, digital machines and analogue equipment, Fonoprint is now a “Museum of Sound and Song” and opens its doors to the public, who will have the unique opportunity to share the spaces and instruments that have allowed so many ideas to become songs that have entered the history of Italian popular culture.
Guided tours, led by Paola Cevenini, founder of Fonoprint and “historical memory” of the studios, and by journalist and music essayist Pierfrancesco Pacoda, will take visitors on a journey of discovery behind the scenes of one of the central locations of “music making” in Italy, which is otherwise difficult to access.
During the tours, visitors will be able to listen to some of the most significant works that have been recorded and mixed here, from “Caruso” to “Chiedi chi erano i Beatles” sung by Gianni Morandi, from “Quando” by Pino Daniele to “Vespa 50” by Lunapop.
Each track will be accompanied by a story about what happened in the studio during the recording of those songs.
