Walter Bussolari's Gardens Tournament

The 43rd "Walter Bussolari Playground" at Bologna's Giardini Margherita (the "Gardens") is set to ignite excitement, confirming its status as the most renowned street basketball tournament. This year's edition is proudly sponsored by Castel Guelfo The Style Outlets for the men's category and EmilBanca Pink for the women's, highlighting the strong connection between the event and the local area.

The tournament, running from June 18 to July 17, is a highly anticipated and continuously growing event. It combines high-level sports with pure spectacle and entertainment, serving as a hub for various disciplines and a community gathering spot.

The women's tournament, now in its 8th edition, kicked off on June 16 with 9 teams, and the grand final is scheduled for the 26th. For the men's category, featuring 16 teams, the play-in games are already underway to complete the roster. Among the most exciting new features are the live Sky broadcast of the final and touching moments dedicated to the memory of beloved figures like Andrea Vignoli and Andrea Tattini, including a dunk contest and a commemorative friendly match. An ethical code will also be introduced, reflecting the event's growing significance.

Beyond basketball, the Playground will be the beating heart of the Gardens Sport Village, part of the Gardens Sport Festival. This festival will enliven the Giardini Margherita until August 3 with a rich program of sports, cultural events, music, and street food.
