Two days to discover that Bologna is a garden.
On May 16th and 17th 2026, you will have this unique opportunity to discover secret and hidden greenery and to see the city from a different perspective.
Now in its 12th edition, it will offer the opportunity to visit about thirty private gardens.
A total of 40 green places will open over the weekend, with different opening times agreed upon with their owners, proprietors and managers: most are concentrated in the historic centre and are easily accessible along the city streets and arcades, others are distributed among the outskirts, the scenic hills and the countryside on the outskirts of the city.
Various events are scheduled during the two-day event, including guided walks, readings, performances, book presentations, thematic meetings, and workshops for young and old.
A ticket (nominal and personal) must be purchased to visit the private gardens and participate in events. Discounts are available for students and Card Cultura holders, and admission is free for children.
