For the first time in Italy, Various Voices, the leading international festival of LGBTQ+ choirs, chooses Bologna as its rainbow-coloured stage.
A great festival involving more than 3500 choristers, for a total of 105 choirs from 20 nations from Europe and all over the world who will sing and perform in five wonderful summer days full of music and shows in the UNESCO City of Music.
The festival will touch a number of iconic locations, such as Piazza Maggiore (which will host the Grand Gala on 16 June), Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, Arena del Sole, Teatro Duse, Oratorio San Filippo Neri, DumBO - VV Village (where the festival's opening and closing ceremonies will be held), MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna and Museo e biblioteca internazionale della musica di Bologna.

The festival, through its organiser Aulos, in agreement with the Municipality of Bologna and in collaboration with DumBO, has decided to make a donation in favour of the people affected by the flooding in Emilia-Romagna by earmarking part of the proceeds from the food and beverage service that will be provided at Various Voices Village from 14 to 17 June.
Various Voices is taking part in the Bologna Portici Festival as part of Bologna Estate 2023, the programme of activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna - Bologna-Modena Tourist Territory.
