Somatics of Listening with Francesco Venturi and NicoNote

On June 14, CRIV – the Interdisciplinary Voice Research Center – presents an afternoon dedicated to listening as an embodied and relational experience.

Part One – Embodiment with Francesco Venturi
A somatic exploration designed to deepen one’s presence in and through the lived body. This journey prepares for listening through sensory perception, where feeling generates movement, and movement refines feeling.

Part Two – Zoomorph by NicoNote
A fragmented sound narrative drawn from NicoNote’s ongoing musical research, featuring excerpts from her album Regola, inspired by Hildegard von Bingen. It’s a horizontal journey into sound, where language, its musicality, and the interplay between human, plant, and animal worlds are dissected and reimagined. In this fluid process, species boundaries dissolve, offering a constantly evolving experience in which deep listening becomes a tool for reflection and connection.
