Tu non mi perderai mai | Teatro Arena del Sole

Saturday, October 18 at 9:30 PM and Sunday, October 19 at 6:00 PM, at Teatro Arena del Sole, Thierry Salmon Hall, Tu non mi perderai mai (You Will Never Lose Me) takes the stage — a performance freely inspired by the Song of Songs.

Twenty years after its creation, the solo Tu non mi perderai mai is entrusted by its author and performer Raffaella Giordano to dancer Stefania Tansini through a precious artistic handover — the transmission of physical knowledge from one body to another.

Stefania Tansini gracefully embraces this act of transmission, bringing the research to unexpected outcomes. The solo is inspired by the Song of Songs, the biblical text whose sacredness was originally interpreted by Giordano through minimalist, slow, and sober — almost hypnotic — actions, while the call of love remained unanswered in a continuous play between presence and absence.

Giordano and Tansini reveal themselves as kindred yet distinct spirits: in their subtle differences, the work becomes a mutual gift, unveiling a borderland where the vitality of a new narrative emerges.
