ABC Arte Bologna Cultura pays tribute to women in jazz with the concert "D'amore e d'orgoglio" (Of Love and Pride) by Silvia Donati Indaco Trio. Bologna-born Donati on vocals, accompanied by Francesca Bertazzo Hart on guitar and Camilla Missio on double bass, takes on two of the strongest personalities in African-American singing, Billie Holiday and Nina Simone: a tribute to singers pride to be women and African American in a country and at a time when the most obvious civil rights could not yet be taken for granted.
An evening dedicated to great music in the beautiful garden of the Atelier Maison laviniaturra. A welcome toast will introduce the concert. Reservation required.
