On Saturday April 25, 2026, the Castello di Mongiorgio, in Monte San Pietro (BO), will host the performance Seven Sisters to Remember, the final concert of an international artistic residency created in collaboration with Appalachian State University.
The musical project, for saxophones, voice, and electronics, weaves together myths and legends from different cultures around the world, united by their reference to the Pleiades constellation, a universal symbol of connection among peoples. The narratives, ranging from Native American traditions to those of Australian Aboriginal cultures, take shape in a contemporary musical proposal which, in the context of Liberation Day, takes on a strong symbolic value linked to themes of memory, freedom, and intercultural dialogue, interpreting culture as a space of encounter, freedom, and resistance.
The concert will feature Caroline Leigh Halleck (saxophones), Laura Zecchini (voice), and composer Nicholas Cline, and will be preceded by a guided tour of the castle and followed by a convivial moment open to the public.
