On Tuesday June 30, at 9:00 PM, the Church of Santa Cristina della Fondazza in Bologna will host the concert Daniele Martinelli and Orchestra Senzaspine: Mozart and Beethoven.
PROGRAM:
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Così fan tutte: Overture
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Piano Concerto No. 25 in C major, K. 503
- Ludwig van Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, Op. 37
For over forty years, the Premio Venezia has been a privileged observatory on the future of piano performance: its finalists have traditionally gone on to solid international careers. In this context stands Daniele Martinelli (born in 2004), trained in Bergamo and winner of the latest edition, distinguishing himself with particularly significant performances of Kurtág and Liszt.
With the Orchestra Senzaspine, he takes on, in the same evening, two cornerstones of the piano and orchestra repertoire bridging the 18th and 19th centuries: Mozart and Beethoven. Two virtuosic concertos with symphonic breadth, marking a decisive step in the evolution of the genre: the piano not only as a soloist, but as a driving force for dialogue and musical architecture.
Performers:
- Daniele Martinelli piano
- Orchestra Senzaspine
- Tommaso Ussardi conductor
