One-voice study on a wordless dictionary

On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 7:30 pm, Centro Culturale Paleotto11 hosts the performance One-voice study on a wordless dictionary, created and performed by Nina Baietta.

One-voice study on a wordless dictionary is conceived as a small poetic manifesto based on a system of signs that explores the space between musical and verbal language. The solo voice becomes a changing organism, able to transform according to the space it moves through.

In addition to the evening performance, a free vocal workshop entitled Pik-pik, zi-zi-duh, krrraach: Elements of Ornithological Grammar, led by Nina Baietta, will take place on Friday, July 17 at 6:00 pm.
The vocal research workshop was developed as part of a project focused not so much on birds themselves as on their observation through birdwatching and birding by ear. It combines vocal research and visual arts and is organised in collaboration with Collettivo Zeroscena. Participation is free, with advance booking required.

Nina Baietta is a vocal researcher. Her artistic practice, rooted in improvised and contemporary music, explores the concept of the linguistic sign through the personal construction of a vocabulary of sonic and emotional signs. Her research focuses on solo voice and on its projection and layering within choral environments.
In 2024, she released her first recording for Setola di Maiale Record, Ea: one-voice study on a wordless dictionary.

The event is part of the experimental festival and cultural campsite La Campeggia FS_Fuori Sistema, which features a wide-ranging cultural programme and the opportunity to stay overnight with your own tent in Parco del Paleotto.
