On Friday, July 17, 2026, the Arena Orfeonica in Bologna hosts the event Nel segno della luce: Paradiso XXXIII tra musica e parole (In the Sign of Light: Paradiso XXXIII Through Music and Words).
The evening features a complete reading and commentary of Canto XXXIII from Paradiso by Dante Alighieri, the culminating moment of the Divine Comedy, in which the final vision of the divine unfolds.
The reading will be accompanied and interspersed with five live musical pieces, each inspired by specific passages from the canto, creating a dialogue between words and music. The alternation of voice and sound is designed to offer the audience an immersive experience that highlights the poetic and spiritual depth of Dante’s text.
