Münchener Kammerorchester, Florian Donderer and Piotr Anderszewski | Bologna Festival 2026

On Thursday, 14 May 2026, at 8:30 p.m. at the Teatro Auditorium Manzoni, the Münchener Kammerorchester, Florian Donderer and Piotr Anderszewski will perform in concert: Mozart KV 491, Brahms and Prokofiev between classical and contemporary.

More than a chamber orchestra, the Münchener Kammerorchester is a living laboratory for the music of our time: Xenakis, Rihm and Sciarrino have written for this elite ensemble, capable of transforming flexibility and precision into a stylistic signature.

Here, the ensemble opens up to the neoclassical pirouettes of Prokofiev, the more sorrowful and meditative vein of Mozart's Piano Concerto (unspecified) and the enthralling rhythm of Jessie Montgomery's Strum, permeated with American folk idioms. In counterpoint, the Brahmsian “island” entrusted to Piotr Anderszewski: a twilight in which pleasure and melancholy coexist, in a meticulously sculpted palette of tranquillity.
