MNTF Music and New Technologies Forum | Salaborsa

A two-day exhibition dedicated to artificial intelligence in music and the creative industries, offering a chance to discover the latest trends in the sector alongside professionals, teachers, and businesses.

Fully dedicated to generative AI, the MNTF Music and New Technologies Forum, curated by Flavio Grilli for Creative Hub Bologna and hosted by the Municipality of Bologna, will take place on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Salaborsa.

This edition focuses on how generative AI is rapidly revolutionizing the music industry and the creative industries in a scenario that opens new paths for artistic creation and profoundly changes business models, redefining the interactions between artists and fans.

The application of generative AI in music, design, and visual arts presents both challenges and significant opportunities for both private sector professionals and public operators.

The two-day MNTF event is promoted as part of the CTE.COBO Program, Casa delle Tecnologie Emergenti for the FSC Fund for Development and Cohesion, Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Bologna | Culture and Creativity Department as part of Bologna UNESCO City of Music actions and the IncrediBOL! program, with the patronage of FIMI, the Italian Federation of the Music Industry.

Centered around generative AI, the key topics of the forum include: innovative business models, exploring how AI is transforming how artists create, distribute, and monetize their music; enhanced creativity and new tools available to musicians and visual artists to bring unique and original works to life; audience interaction and how AI can personalize the listening experience and create new forms of fan engagement; copyright and ethics in a discussion about the legal and ethical implications of using AI in artistic creation.
