On the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the birth of Pope Lambertini, the Amade' Association and the Foundation for Religious Sciences are organizing a concert dedicated to the great European musical tradition of the 18th century.
The concert will take place at the Church of Santa Maria della Pietà on Saturday, May 17, with a repeat performance on Sunday, May 25.
The evening will feature the Orchestra and Choir of the Amade' Association, conducted by Maestro Juan Miranda.
Opening the inaugural evening on May 17 will be Professor Angelo Mazza, who will introduce the event with a special focus on the Lambertini-era artworks housed in the church and displayed at the University Library of Bologna as part of the exhibition “Benedict XIV and Bologna: Arts and Sciences in the Age of Enlightenment".
