Itinera | Coro Ad Maiora

Saturday, 20 December 2025, starting at 3:00 pm, in Bologna’s historic city center, the ninth and final concert of the third edition of MikrokosmInFestival – CHORAL NARRATIVES: Stories, identities, and echoes of cultures will take place, a series organized by Mikrokosmos APS with the support of the Municipality of Bologna and AERCO – Emilia-Romagna Choral Association.

The event, entitled Itinera – choral mini-concerts in some of the most evocative locations of the historic city center, will feature the Coro Ad Maiora: la Bottega della Voce, conducted by Michele Napolitano, with Michele Barbi on percussion. Founded in 2011 and composed of around 25 singers aged between 20 and 35, Ad Maiora will present a repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the Beatles, including ethnic pieces from different parts of the world and Christmas carols.

The musical itinerary will begin at Mercato delle Erbe (3:00 pm), continuing along Via Altabella (3:30 pm), Via Clavature (4:00 pm), the Portico del Pavaglione (4:30 pm), Piazza Minghetti (5:00 pm), and will conclude in Piazza Santo Stefano (5:30 pm); times are approximate.
