On Sunday, 29 March 2026, the Circolo della Musica di Bologna, at the Sala Andrea Baldi in Rastignano, will host violinist Grazia Raimondi and pianist Luigi Caselli.
Programme: Grazia Raimondi studied music at the Conservatorio ‘G.B. Martini’ in Bologna, graduating with honours in violin under the guidance of Giovanni Adamo.
- Brahms: Sonata No. 1, Op. 78
- Debussy: Sonata in G minor
- Grieg: Sonata No. 3, Op. 45
She has won first prize in several competitions: the National Competition in Vittorio Veneto, the Ugo Conta Music Awards Hong Kong National Violin Competition in Mantua, and the Sibelius International Competition held at Indiana University (USA). She has been a member of ensembles such as I Solisti Veneti, I Virtuosi di Roma and the New European Strings Orchestra.
Luigi Caselli graduated with honours from the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna, under the guidance of Luigi Mostacci. He then went on to study in Freiburg with Vitalij Margulis and attended several masterclasses with Oxana Jablonskaja. He has won numerous prizes in various international piano competitions such as the Cortot in Milan, the Canals in Barcelona and the Viotti in Vercelli.
Since 1991, he has been a member of the Baynov Piano Ensemble, an original group of European pianists whose repertoire ranges from compositions for six-hand piano to eight-hand piano, which has been unanimously acclaimed by audiences and critics throughout Europe, Canada and China.
