On Thursday, 1 January 2026, to celebrate the first day of the New Year, Bologna invites you at 4:00 p.m. to the New Year’s Grand Ball at Palazzo Re Enzo, in the Salone del Podestà.
In the largest historic hall in Italy, the Società di Danza presents a Nineteenth-Century Grand Ball to celebrate the New Year.
The event is organized in collaboration with three non-profit organizations: AGEOP (Support for children in Pediatric Oncology), AIL (Italian Association Against Leukemia), and BIMBO TU (Association supporting children and families facing neurological diseases), with the Patronage of the Municipality of Bologna.
Dancers from the circles and cities of the Società di Danza take part, founded in Bologna in 1991 by Maestro Fabio Mòllica with the aim of studying and promoting historical dance.
