Friday, November 7, at the Casa della Cultura in Calderara, the second edition of the Filarmonica diffusa series opens with a concert by the String Trio: Marco Ferri (violin), Alessandro Savio (viola), Fabio Lambroni (cello), performing music by Franz Schubert and Ludwig van Beethoven.
The Filarmonica diffusa project aims to bring the music of the Philharmonic to the wider Bologna area and reach new audiences, moving beyond the idea that those who wish to hear a classical concert must necessarily go to the traditional venues in the city center — while maintaining the highest artistic standards.
Moreover, the Philharmonic’s goal is to promote the classical repertoire through the performance of masterpieces of chamber music (from Mozart to Beethoven, from Schubert to Weber) as well as rarities by lesser-known composers.
The small chamber groups of the Philharmonic thus act as the avant-garde of an orchestra whose institutional mission is primarily the production of symphonic concerts.
The program includes six chamber concerts (from trio to quintet), one for each Cultural District, from November 2025 to May 2026.
The first three concerts will all start at 8:30 PM:
-
Friday, November 7 at the Casa della Cultura in Calderara
-
Friday, December 5 at the Torri dell’Acqua in Budrio
-
Friday, January 16 at the Casa della Conoscenza in Casalecchio di Reno
All concerts are free of charge and require no reservation, and will be hosted in theaters, historic halls, and sites of special artistic interest.
The initiative was created through a collaboration between the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Metropolitan City, and the six Cultural Districts.
