1994 - France. 2 guys from the Parisian indie/alt scene release the first single from one of the electronic projects destined to become a cult and inspiration for thousands of musicians and producers. The French duo was able to redefine the concept of electronica and club culture, ranging from italo disco to nu rave, from electro to IDM, from indietronic to primal French touch.
From the highly acclaimed debut album "HOMEWORK," to the cult "DISCOVERY" (and the animated feature film "INTERSTELLA 5555"), from the controversial but seminal "HUMAN AFTER ALL" to the soundtrack of the blockbuster "TRON : LEGAGY" via the futuristic "ALIVE 2007" tour to "RANDOM ACCESS MEMORIES," their latest work, which in just a few months has pulverized every record in sales, downloads and listens.
A triumphant comeback, entered among the milestones of the genre, which turns 10 years old this year. We will retrace all the stages of Daft's discography interspersed with tracks by the artists who inspired them, those for whom they were an inspiration (Justice, Soulwax, The Bloody Beetroots, Deadmau5, Skrillex), all the producer friends (Chemical Brothers, Mr. Oizo, FatBoy Slim, Prodigy, Faithless) and collaborations/remixes (Pharrell, Animal Collective, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Franz Ferdinand, Julian Casablancas).
