Classica Balotta: Blu. A piano between Europe and America with Nicolas Giacomelli

Friday April 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM, the Teatro Comunale Laura Betti in Casalecchio di Reno, as part of the chamber music series Classica Balotta, presents the concert Blu. A piano between Europe and America with pianist Nicolas Giacomelli.

Nicolas Giacomelli is a pianist and composer from Bologna, described as “a pianist who makes you think and dream” (L. Ciammarughi, 2023). He has won over 40 piano competitions, including the Shigeru Kawai Competition in Tokyo, Premio Venezia, the Concours International Piano Campus (France), and the NTD Competition (USA). He has performed across Europe, Asia, and America, appearing in prestigious venues such as the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome, the Fazioli Concert Hall, and the Cité de la Musique in Paris.

At the Teatro Laura Betti, he will perform works by Schumann, Symphonic Studies, Op. 13, Fauré, Theme and Variations, Op. 73, and Gershwin, Rhapsody in Blue.

After the concert, stay for a glass of wine and light refreshments in the theatre foyer together with the artist.
