Bologna
From the first work on autograph material, the interest turned, for this concert, to the improvisational practice they evoked. The six musicians, chosen for their personal approach to this creative mode, form an interweaving of voices devoid of the aid of a harmonic instrument: a rhythmic, melodic, timbric counterpoint. The idea is to bring together several generations of musicians, who tell their experience through the language of improvisation: they meet and intersect, in the sextet's music, the need to use other languages, the timbre research, the variety and the definition of the form. The evocation, for the work dealt with in this concert, will be the danger of man for the man himself, in a path that goes from the great tragedies of the last century (the holocaust, the use of the atomic bomb) to the threat constant that this violence can be unleashed again.
