Alberto Schiffo | Classica in Sneakers

On Monday 9 November 2026, at 7:00 pm at Birreria Popolare in Bologna, Alberto Schiffo performs as part of the Classica in sneakers series.

A recital that brings together the broad structure of the sonata with the nocturnal poetry of Chopin. Alberto Schiffo opens with Grieg’s Sonata Op. 7, a work in which energy, lyricism and narrative tension coexist, and continues with two masterpieces from Chopin’s mature period: the Polonaise-Fantaisie Op. 61 and the Barcarolle Op. 60.

The programme highlights two different approaches to the piano: on the one hand, the structure and breadth of large-scale form; on the other, tonal imagination and freedom of phrasing. A listening experience that alternates momentum and intimacy, with Romanticism as its common horizon.

Programme:

• E. Grieg Sonata Op. 7
• F. Chopin Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-flat major, Op. 61
• F. Chopin Barcarolle Op. 60
