La Repubblica delle idee

Repubblica delle Idee returns to Bologna from 12 to 14 June 2026 with a programme packed with events, talks and presentations.

Reflecting on our first fifty years will be Corrado Augias and Ezio Mauro, together with deputy editor-in-chief Stefania Aloia. At Modernissimo Cinema, audiences will be able to watch the documentary “Repubblica50”, presented by editor-in-chief Mario Orfeo alongside Gino Castaldo and Michela Ponzani.

Attempting to interpret today’s political landscape will be Romano Prodi in conversation with Francesco Bei, and Achille Occhetto with Francesco Merlo. Also expected is Silvia Salis, who will take part in the meeting with mayors attended by Matteo Lepore.

Among the musical guests are Ditonellapiaga and Malika Ayane; among the authors, Eshkol Nevo and Pulitzer Prize winner Cristina Rivera Garza. A tribute to Umberto Eco will be presented by Stefano Bartezzaghi, while Concita De Gregorio brings her performance “La cura” to the stage. Comedy will also take centre stage with Vittorio Pettinato, Ubaldo Pantani and Matteo Fallica.
