  The walk through the “Rose Garden,” the San Giovanni Canal and Vicolo Baciadonne leads to the Historic Monumental Cemetery to discover some of the women of Persiceto who distinguished themselves through their work—teachers, musicians, shopkeepers, farmers—exploring their stories in an unusual way through epitaphs and the sometimes curious tales handed down over time.

  "Floral Iconography and Symbolism"
  Meeting point:  entrance of the Historic Monumental Cemetery (Circonvallazione Vittorio Veneto, 24)
  The ornamental greenery in the cloisters of the Monumental Cemetery of San Giovanni in Persiceto engages in dialogue with the symbolic friezes of lush fruits and flowers, sculpted or cast in bronze—so vivid they seem to suggest colors, light, fragrance, and the refreshment of a true garden. From the narrative of funerary symbolism and myth, the visit continues to the Botanical Garden, where the WWF Bologna botanical guide will explore the scientific and traditional aspects of the plants.
