From Friday April 17 to Sunday April 19, Bologna hosts the first edition of Fuori Libro, a festival that brings together illustration, comics, independent publishing, and self-production.
During the festival, Via D’Azeglio will come alive with those who create independent publishing and those who love it. A space born for creativity and editorial freedom, for anyone eager to discover something new and who still feels curious; for those who create outside the box and those who publish without asking permission; for those who believe in the future on paper and for those who make imagery a conscious choice.
Market exhibition: Four rooms dedicated to a market exhibition featuring a carefully curated selection of projects from across Italy.
Exhibitions and talks: Two exhibitions. The first is dedicated to Jessica Adamo, an illustrator from Palermo, with her new book The Volcano Girl. The second celebrates James Vega, an artist active between Arezzo and Florence, with the project Tuscan Landscapes.
- Exhibition opening: Friday April 17, 4:00 PM
- Artist presentation and live painting: Friday April 17, 6:00 PM
- The festival also features a stage hosting talks, magazine presentations, and collectives.
Across all three days, Fuori Libro offers workshops for adults and children, led by industry professionals and open to anyone who wants to experiment or learn new techniques.
The festival is enriched with live music performances, DJ sets with visual art, and a food area.
