AngelicA 36 - International Music Festival

From Tuesday May 5 to Saturday May 30, 2026, AngelicA - International Festival of Music returns for its thirty-sixth edition.

Once again, the festival’s program embraces sonic diversity and weaves together distant paths in a multifaceted and “multisonic” lineup. An experience that remains a unique excellence in the Italian scene and a rare point of reference in the international context.

The Festival opens on May 5 at 8:30 PM with a concert for small bagpipe and voice by Brìghde Chaimbeul at the festival venue, the Centro di Ricerca Musicale / Teatro San Leonardo in Bologna.

• May 8: Kristia Michael Plays Morton Feldman Three Voices; Everloving Play Henry Flynt – first appearance in Italy, European premiere
• May 13: Angharad Davies & Werner Dafeldecker – Italian premiere; Franz Hautzinger & Burkhard Stangl – Italian premiere
• May 15: Tristan Perich & Ensemble 0 – world premiere
• May 16: Tristan Perich & James Mcvinnie – Italian premiere
• May 18: Apartment House Play Jürg Frey – world premiere
• May 20: Blutwurst Play Marja Ahti & Marco Baldini – world premiere
• May 26: Piccolo Coro Angelico – world premiere
• May 29: Ensemble Nist-Nah
• May 30: Horse Lords – Italian premiere

All events will take place at the Centro di Ricerca Musicale / Teatro San Leonardo, except for the concert on May 16, which will be held at the Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi in Bologna.

Concerts start at 8:30 PM, with theatre doors opening at 8:00 PM, except for the Piccolo Coro Angelico concert, which will begin at 7:00 PM.
