On Thursday 18 May, PhMuseum Lab presents RAM_4.0, a collaborative project between Portuguese photographer Sara Bastai and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Documenting, creating and sharing memories is now an integral part of our existence in a society driven by social media.
Sara Bastai investigates the notion of memory through the eyes of technology: she processes her personal photo archive through an algorithm that generates captions and based on these, the author creates a new series of shots.
On display, these shots that create an augmented representation of our society and induce a reflection on the mass production and image overload that characterise our everyday life.
