OPENTOUR 2026

From June 9 to 13, 2026, the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna presents a new edition of Openshow, a broad and multifaceted exhibition programme developed within Opentour2026, featuring works by more than 500 students from the Departments of Visual Arts and Design and Applied Arts, along with guided tours curated by the Department of Communication and Art Education. The Academy’s historic spaces, together with its studios and classrooms, become the focus of a series of free guided tours led by students from the Department of Communication and Art Education.

Completing this section, from June 10 to 13, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, visitors can explore the exhibition Alle Rose, hosted at Villa delle Rose as part of Un anno in cima alle scale, an experimental project for the co-management of the space developed over the last academic year by the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna in collaboration with the MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art of Bologna and promoted by the Civic Museums Department of the Municipality of Bologna.

The beating heart of OPENTOUR is the exhibition programme Giovani talenti in galleria ("Young Talents in the Gallery"), curated by Carmen Lorenzetti and Giuseppe Lufrano, which opens on Thursday, June 11 simultaneously in 31 galleries and private art spaces across Bologna. This exhibition route represents the core of the event, creating a direct dialogue between academic training and the contemporary art system.
