Things Do Not Speak Because They Do Not Know What to Do with Language

From 4 to 15 February 2026, on the occasion of Art City, Artierranti and Bianca Basile present Things Do Not Speak Because They Do Not Know What to Do with Language, a solo exhibition by Arianna Pace (Pesaro, 1996), spread between the Luigi Bombicci Educational Museum and Officina Artierranti.

Arianna Pace’s research is rooted in an interest in the living: it focuses on the observation of the natural world as an archival practice, which for her becomes a form of knowledge and discovery. The decision to involve the Luigi Bombicci Educational Museum opens up several paths of inquiry: Arianna Pace’s practice, whose projects often arise from collective observation of nature and take shape as experiential workshops; Luigi Bombicci, whose travelling educational museum challenges the static nature of the Museum as an institution to foster an education based on the empirical observation of reality; and the museum as part of the University Museum System, and therefore as a site of research. The works, displayed inside the museum’s exhibition cases, allow for a rereading of the collections by building a dialogue between past, present, and future, while the Artierranti space gathers the artist’s gaze on the world.

The exhibition opening will take place on Wednesday 4 February, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bombicci Museum and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Officina Artierranti.

During Art City, Arianna Pace will lead a workshop for children at the Luigi Bombicci Educational Museum.

The museum will also inaugurate a new room dedicated to the collection of games on loan from Maurizio Marzadori.

The exhibition is organized by Artierranti and Bianca Basile in collaboration with Senza titolo, with the Department of Education, Instruction and New Generations of the Municipality of Bologna, and with the Luigi Bombicci Educational Museum.
