La bellezza dell’imperfezione - The Beauty of Imperfection

From 28 November to 3 December 2025, the Cavazza Hall of the Santo Stefano District in Bologna will host the travelling photo exhibition La bellezza dell’imperfezione - The Beauty of Imperfection.

The project was created by Professor Andrea Ferrari of the National Cancer Institute in Milan, with the support of AIEOP, the Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, and it tells the stories of boys and girls who faced cancer during adolescence.

After stops in Milan, Bari and Genoa, the exhibition now arrives in Bologna thanks to Ageop Ricerca, bringing with it intense, authentic and vibrant testimonies.
A total of 108 young people undergoing treatment in various centres across Italy chose to share their stories through images, to show that adolescents, too, can fall ill, but that recovery is possible when they receive appropriate care in places designed for them.
