Immaterial-Body-Immaterial

A new contemporary art gallery opens in Bologna. Studio la Linea Verticale inaugurates from 12 to 15 May on the occasion of ART CITY Bologna 2022 with the collective exhibition Immaterial-Body-Immaterial. Seven artists, Ludovico Bomben, Alberto Colliva, Vale Palmi, Armenia Panfolklorica, Quatriéme Paysage, Flavia Tritto, Claudio Valerio, in dialogue with critical texts by Tatiana Basso, Antongiulio Vergine and Maria Chiara Wang. The title, illustrated in the poster, composes a diagram where, like on a horizon line, the seven exhibited artists are deployed, like soldiers guarding the secrets of the universal laws. According to an order that from the Immaterial takes body in the centre and then dissolves back into the Immaterial, the line is curved to the point of becoming an imaginary circle. Comparing generations through the main languages of the visual arts - sculpture, drawing, photography, digital art, video, painting - they answer the questions that have always accompanied humanity: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where do we go to? Immaterial-Body-Immaterial.
