EARTH Foundation presents, at the exhibition spaces of Grand Tour Italia in Bologna, the first exhibition entirely dedicated to the famous literary and cinematic character created by Paolo Villaggio: accountant Ugo Fantozzi. Entitled “FANTOZZI!!! An Amazing Exhibition”, the show will be open to the public from October 16, 2025, to March 29, 2026, offering an original journey through art, cinema, and society that highlights the satirical power and timeless relevance of this iconic figure of Italian culture.
The exhibition, with free admission, is curated by Luca Bochicchio, Professor of Contemporary Art History at the University of Verona, and Guido Andrea Pautasso, scholar of 20th-century artistic and cultural avant-gardes. The inauguration will take place on Thursday, October 16, at 7:00 pm, with a public talk featuring the curators. Through anecdotes, archival materials, and references to popular culture, the event will provide new insights into the “tragic and comic” accountant who became both a mirror of his time and a universal cultural icon.
Accompanying the exhibition is the publication of the volume “FANTOZZI!!! An Italian Myth”, published by Edizioni E.ART.H., featuring essays by Luca Bochicchio, Guido Andrea Pautasso, Alessio Lasta, Marco Senaldi, Irene Stucchi, and Sara Tongiani.
Alongside the exhibition, EARTH Foundation also offers a program of creative workshops for families with children aged 5 to 14, designed to actively engage younger audiences:
