From 7 to 15 November 2026, the Sala Esposizioni Giulio Cavazza in Bologna hosts Eyes, I See Only with the Heart.
An emotional journey through abandoned and forgotten places, where the visual limitations caused by keratoconus are transformed into an intimate, empathetic and poetic gaze. Eyes, non vedo che col cuore, the solo photography exhibition by Pamela Nanetti (known as @fighter_urbex), comes to Bologna. Dedicated to urban exploration (Urbex), the exhibition brings together photographs taken over the past four years in abandoned places, ruins, historic residences, castles, churches and heritage sites that have gradually been reclaimed by nature and time.
The exhibition is not only a visual journey through forgotten places, but also the expression of a profound personal path. Despite the daily challenges and limitations caused by her visual condition, keratoconus, Pamela Nanetti has turned this condition into a drive to continually test herself. As the title of the exhibition suggests, when sight becomes limited, the heart becomes the primary tool of exploration: an intimate and respectful gaze capable of capturing the invisible soul and fragile beauty of what oblivion has submerged.
"This room is not empty: it is full of echoes, dust and expectation. I do not welcome you as simple visitors, but as fellow travellers projected into a parallel dimension, beyond time." — Pamela Nanetti
