OTTO Gallery is pleased to present "Evocations. A Nomadic Exhibition Project", a travelling exhibition project in Europe, curated by Lóránd Hegyi. Among its stops on the European itinerary will be Bologna: on the occasion of Artefiera, OTTO Gallery will present the works of all the artists who participated.
"After the pandemic and the most recent war events and political crises, observing the happenings around the world and sharing feelings, doubts, hopes and fears caused by the events, this idea of a travelling exhibition was born with the aim of creating a format for the presentation and promotion of contemporary art that could be easily realised. A flexible form of exhibition organisation that contributes to direct collaboration on an occasional basis between galleries and museums and to the creation of direct relations between artists and institutions, so as to make it easier to present and promote the work of invited artists in international contexts,' explains Lóránd Hegyi.
EVOCATIONS is a project that focuses on contemporary drawing and a poetics of 'intimacy, fragility': at the centre is the human condition and its interiority, with its own fragilities, psychic experiences, emotional sensitivities and the ability to create deeply sophisticated personal narratives that do not pretend to reflect monumental and universal systems of thought but focus on hidden resources of values.
