On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September, the museums of the Municipality and Metropolitan City of Bologna are taking part in the European Heritage Days with a widespread programme of special initiatives and extraordinary evening openings.

For the occasion, on Saturday 28 September, all of Bologna's Civic Museums will be extraordinarily open, with all-day opening hours from 10 a.m. to midnight and admission at the cost of €1 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

A rich programme of activities is also proposed to offer citizens and tourists the opportunity to enjoy unusual and entertaining experiences.

"Heritage on the way" is the Italian theme of the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, which since 1999 has been jointly organised by the Council of Europe and the European Commission to celebrate the richness and diversity of Europe's cultural heritage, while promoting dialogue, inclusion and cross-border cooperation.

It is an invitation to reflect on the value of cultural heritage in relation to paths, routes, connections and networks which, today or in the past, have made relations and exchanges between peoples and cultures possible and contributed to the formation of our identity.
