Bologna
After "I Preferiti di Marino. Capitolo I", "Echoes of Africa" is the second public selection of artworks collected by an extraordinary man who made art, like science, his passion. A love for art not only for its aesthetic value but also for its ability to inspire reflections on the beauty that emerges from the dialogue between cultures, languages, media, and traditions.
The exhibition offers a unique perspective on contemporary African creativity, presenting a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions, techniques, and materials. It features 16 works, all created after 2000, by internationally renowned artists who explore universal themes such as identity, memory, spirituality, migration, and sustainability: Leila Alaoui, Jano Januario, Gonçalo Mabunda, Joël Andrianomearisoa, Abdoulaye Konaté, Rita Mawuena Benissan, Cameron Platter, and Soly Cissé.
Weekday visits: Thursday and Friday at 6 PM.
Weekend opening hours: 10 AM – 8 PM.
