On the occasion of the exhibition Yōkai. The ancient prints of Japanese monsters, Bologna will host for two days, for the first time in Europe, the show The Life of Hokusai, a great performing art show to commemorate the 260th anniversary of the birth of Katsushika Hokusai, perhaps the most famous Japanese painter in the world. Two days of performance, 30 June and 1 July 2023, with four replicas, at the Teatro Arena del Sole, to recount through dance, music and poetry, the life of the great master, the father of Japanese painting: a man, a genius, a madman who came to consider himself the connection between celestial and earthly energies... even the incarnation of a dragon.
