Glitch in Real Life

Glitch in Real Life is an ever-evolving solo work, born from a deeply real experience: for months, every night, the same dream, the same image, the same message returning. From this oneiric spiral takes shape a piece that explores the exact moment when a dream stops belonging only to the night and begins to interfere with waking life.

The work investigates that fragile space between consciousness and the unconscious, between what we see and what we feel in the body. Sometimes it takes just a moment—a small glitch—to break the continuity of time and open up an unexpected state of awareness. Reality and illusion intertwine and blur, giving rise to a simple yet powerful question: is it really so important to distinguish what is real from what is not?

At present, the project exists in a version of about ten minutes, initially presented at the b12 Festival in Berlin. However, Glitch in Real Life is conceived as an open process, requiring time, listening, and research to find a broader and more layered form. During this residency, Noemi intends to further develop the work through improvisation, movement research, dramaturgical development, and experimentation with sound, space, light, and visual materials, transforming the solo into an increasingly immersive experience.

Originally from Budrio, Noemi Piazzi feels this project as a bridge between her personal artistic research and the community she comes from: a desire to give back, to share, and to create dialogue, so that the intimate experience of dreaming can become common ground—capable of bringing people together, resonating, and creating real connections.
