On Tuesday April 28, 2026, at 3:30 pm, at the DAMSLab/Teatro in Bologna, the performance Babel. The Parable of the Deconstruction of Violence will be staged, curated by Teatrocarcere Due Palazzi and students from the Gregorianum University College in Padua.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Gozzini Law, which recognized cultural and theatrical practices as tools for rehabilitation and reintegration, DAMSLab becomes a space for dialogue between art, justice, and community, hosting the performance Babel alongside an interdisciplinary discussion.
Babel originates from a project conceived and directed by Maria Cinzia Zanellato, and is the result of a collaborative process that weaves together diverse experiences and backgrounds. The project involves incarcerated individuals and people in alternative measures from the Due Palazzi Prison, together with students from the Gregorianum University College acting as volunteers, active in the Teatrocarcere Due Palazzi workshop in Padua.
Particularly significant was the company’s artistic residency, held in 2025 at the Monastery of Cellole, with the scientific contribution of Emiliano Biadene, prior of the monastery and biblical scholar.
