Our minds have lit up like stars in the universe of living beings. We do not know how they emerged from primitive neural circuits, but we are certain that we can nurture them so they remain bright, warm, and magnificent. Journalist and essayist Eliana Liotta and neuroscientist Michela Matteoli present a vision aligned with recent discoveries: a mind embodied in the brain and in continuous dialogue with the body. It is precisely this material dimension that deserves attention, starting with nutrition. Scientific data show that, on average, Italians lack essential substances for the nervous system, such as omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins B and D. This means we risk having poorly nourished brains in a society of abundance. It is therefore no surprise that the consequences include anxiety, fatigue, sleep disorders, and difficulty concentrating. But the brain also craves immaterial nourishment: deep thoughts, emotions, art, and spirituality. Let us take care of it. Let us train it with love. And it will reward us for many years to come.
