Threshing festival, Open Day of taste

In June the Bolognese countryside is colored with the golden yellow of ripe wheat.
He is the "gold of the plain", a symbol of fertility of the earth and a pillar of our local food, an inseparable part of the history of the Bolognese plain. He is the protagonist of the Open Day of Taste scheduled for Sunday 28 June, an event that was born precisely to rediscover and celebrate the intertwining of culture, food and traditions that revolves around the blonde cereal. 

The program of the day

10 am Event and Museum opening
11 am Guided visit to the historical afternoon, by the agronomist Massimo Drago.
3pm Guided visit to the garden of dye plants, by Mara di Giammatteo, Atelier Trame Tinte d'Arte | Prospectiva scarl
4pm "The textiles of memory" a journey to discover some textiles from the museum's collection and its textile warehouse, curated by Nicoletta di Gaetano, Atelier Trame Tinte d'Arte | Prospectiva scarl
5pm Reading for children and parents, by Laura Guerinoni, Atelier Trame Tinte d'Arte | Prospectiva scarl
6pm Demonstration of threshing of the wheat with hand-operated threshing.

All activities are free of charge but reservations are required at segreteria.museo@cittametropolitana.bo.it or 051.891050  to guarantee compliance with safety regulations.

Open museum, with free admission for those who arrive by bicycle
Atelier "Trame Tinte d'Arte" open with presentation of the new summer dyeing and weaving courses
Locanda Smeraldi and Baracchina crescentine and tigelle open for lunch, snack and dinner with seats and take away

Remember that access to the park is allowed to people without symptoms of respiratory infection and fever and not subject to quarantine measures. The safety distance of 1 meter must be maintained and gatherings cannot be created. The use of a mask is mandatory inside the museum. In case of bad weather the event will be canceled.
