Festival of San Martino in Casalecchio di Reno

Festival of the patron saint of Casalecchio di Reno, with events taking place across the town and a restaurant serving autumn flavours in support of charitable initiatives. From 6 to 16 November 2026.

The streets of Casalecchio will host markets featuring hobbyists, artists and food stalls. The restaurant in Piazza del Popolo, also offering takeaway service, will serve autumn dishes such as polenta with donkey meat, salt cod, the famous tagliatelle with ragù and lasagne. There will also be stalls selling roasted chestnuts and crescentine.

On Friday 8 November, the evocative re-enactment of the ancient northern tradition of the Saint Martin procession will take place. The afternoon parade will feature Saint Martin on horseback, followed by children carrying glowing lanterns.

The extensive programme also includes performances, conferences, exhibitions, readings, concerts, entertainment and workshops for children, as well as guided tours. A true community celebration dedicated to its patron saint.
