It is a Carnival designed especially for children that has been coming to life for over 60 years in Sala Bolognese and its hamlets Osteria Nuova and Padulle on the Sundays of February.
The celebrations begin on 1 February with the Carnival in Osteria Nuova, continue on Sunday 8 February with the event in Sala, the main town, and conclude on 15 February with the event in Padulle, featuring entertainment by Stefano Preci. (In case of bad weather, the parade will be rescheduled for Sunday, 22 February 2026.)
The festivities come alive with the parades of allegorical floats, while along the streets visitors can enjoy crescentine, piadine, sweets, and good wine.
From the floats, carefully prepared by the local carnival associations, there is a great shower of confetti, balloons, and plush toys.
In addition, on Saturday, 7 February, the Grand Carnival Party at Nuova Luna Discotheque will take place.
